As part of our ongoing efforts, the group has expanded its workforce in the environmental department and implemented a comprehensive work plan aimed at ensuring compliance with legal and environmental standards. The internal enforcement process is carried out systematically across the group’s facilities, with continuous monitoring of adherence to legal requirements, license conditions, and granted permits.
Promoting the environmental agenda is an integral part of the group’s economic activities, reflected in the production of “green” products that reduce air pollutant emissions, such as nitrogen compounds (NOx) from transportation and power plants.
Additionally, the group is working to integrate methanol as an alternative fuel in industry and transportation, in collaboration with the Technion and the Ministry of Environmental Protection. A series of experiments has demonstrated that using methanol significantly reduces air pollutant emissions.
Another key “green” initiative of the group is the recycling of organic solvents, in which the company has become a leader in Israel. This initiative contributes to reducing hazardous waste and positively impacts the environment.
In recent years, an in-depth assessment of the environmental impact of the group’s facilities has been conducted, particularly concerning air quality, in collaboration with the Ministry of Environmental Protection as part of the IPPC directive. This process integrates advanced technologies to prevent pollutant emissions, aligning with the strict standards of the European Union.
As part of the ongoing effort to enhance environmental performance, the company has entered the certification process for an environmental management system under the Israeli and international ISO 14001 standard. This certification will enable the group to effectively manage its environmental impact and provide an appropriate professional response.
